It has been 6 months since we had our trip of a lifetime to China! Caleb was a quiet, shy little boy. Wow has he changed! Now he is a happy, busy and loud boy who is hardly every shy.He has been up to lots of fun stuff and we had a great summer with him. He has grown alot and he loves to eat! He is in swimming class and a library group during the week. We had a great time apple picking in the valley with Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Debbie! Now all of a sudden he loves to eat apples! We had our first of may visits to the IWK to the Cleft Palate Clinic. We saw many doctors who will be following Caleb's progress until he is 16. Surgery will be in the next month or so. I will update when we know more. Enjoy the pictures!

Caleb has definitly been enjoying summer! He loves being in the water in any way shape or form and has a great time driving Poppy's boat!  This summer we have been busy swimming, going to Poppy and Grammies where he had his first bon fire and got to play with many of his cousins!  We went to Burntcoat on the Bay of Fundy and rented a cottage for the weekend. Caleb had a great time walking on the ocean floor! He has an upcoming appointment at the IWK to look at his cleft palate. I will keep you updated as to when his surgery might be. Hope you enjoy all of the new pictures!

Happy Summer

It has been amazing to watch Caleb change and grow everyday! His favorite thing to do now is go to the playground down the street. He loves to be outside as much as possible. We have gone to the waterfront for walks and had our first trip to the beach! He loved the beach so I think we will be going there alot!We had another visit home to Cape Breton. While we were there Caleb had fun playing in his new sandbox and riding on the tractor with Poppy.  Caleb is beginning to say a few words and imitate our speech.

Bernie had a great first Father's Day with Caleb!

First Father's Day Poem

So this is your first Father's Day,
Your first one as a dad;
Get ready for surprises now,
The wildest you've ever had.

Just when you think you've got it down,
There's a new and different stage;
This little person changes a lot
With each fascinating age.

Being a dad takes all you've got;
Your heart and mind you'll invest;
It's the hardest job you'll ever have,
And the one you'll love the best.
