Caleb is doing fantastic and we are having so much fun taking him to new places and just hanging out at home. He made his first tirp to Cape Breton. I think he loved every minute of hanging out with Grammie and Poppy and friends and family. We are looking forward to heading to Mira again in June for Bernie's vacation. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Going for a walk with Grammie and Poppy!

Thanks for the ride Poppy!

Sharing my favorite view!

I had the buckles and breaks figured out thanks to Grammie.

Spending time with Nanny.

I had a great time getting to know the MacDonald's. Margie you were in every picture so don't blame me!
I love to play in the water!

I was super excited to receive my Canadian Citizenship card!

Hanging out with my buddy!
Enjoying the sunshine.

Hanging out with my cousins! Can't wait to see them again.

Happy Mother's Day

My Child  by Jill Work

My child,
I carried you in my heart
before you were even born
And dared to dream
that you were real.

My child,
I carried your picture with me
since the day I received it,
And dared to love
a child I was yet to meet.

My child,
I carried you in my arms at last,
and gazed in helpless wonder
at your face,
And dared to lose
my heart to you.

And now, my child,
a dream fulfilled,
a prayer answered,
a family created,
I have dared to become
a mom.

And so now,
my precious child,
I shall carry you
home.

Looking at the bubbles.

Blowing bubbles

Mmmmmm jello!

My favorite team of course!

Me and my Poppy!

My new favorite toy!
Daddy sure can build!

Mother's Day is coming up and it will be my first and I can't wait to spend it with Caleb and Bernie, I have been waiting a while for this! It will be a very special day for us but at the same time I will be thinking about Caleb's birth mom and how she might be feeling. So this poem is for her.

A Mother's Love

She left you one morning,
She had no choice.
In a country of millions
She had just one voice.

The law made it clear
One child would do.
To obey it would mean
No hope for you.

As she laid you down
Her eyes became blurried.
On saying goodbye
Said don't you worry.

Another will come
To take my place.
A mother will come
From a different race.

She'll hold you and love you
As if you're her own.
She'll take you away
To a brand new home.

She then ran away
Her heart broke in two.
Don't ever forget
Of my love for you.
